Lac de Montriond abounds in fish species of all kinds: trout (fario and rainbow), minnows, Arctic char, blageon, rotengle... Well-populated, it is nevertheless home to some very fine specimens that can sometimes prove very fickle: anglers, even the most seasoned, will need to show finesse and perseverance...
The most effective techniques are waddling at the start of the season, followed by nymph fishing a little later on.
Lac de Montriond covers 32 hectares and is 19 metres deep. Fishing in the lake is on the "difficult" level.
Lac de Montriond is accessible to anglers holding the departmental river fishing card (on sale at the Ardent Sports store in the center of Montriond village or online at http://www.cartedepeche.fr).
