Montriond Village
Presentation
At the foot of Avoriaz and neighbouring Morzine, Montriond village has made the most of its proximity to its bieg sister resort to become an independent tourist destination as one of 12 resorts in the Portes du Soleil.
With the third largest lake in the region, Montriond lake offers a rugged setting surrounded by cliffs and forests – and many activities: swimming, fishing, walking, pony rides, canoe/kayak, stand up paddle and mini-golf.
The D228 road that leads to it continues to the Ardent waterfall, and after several pretty bends, Lindarets hamlet, inhabited almost exclusively by goats in the summer and skiers in search of very good food in the winter.
Don’t forget to see: the “Lac Montriond Festival” fireworks display in August.
