At this stage the chairlifts are not going to open this season but there are a whole lot of snow fun activities available to discover the mountains in a different way.
 
Snow shoeing, SNOOC, ski touring, sledging, ice diving, building igloos. An activity for everyone. Immerse yourself in the beauty of our natural world.
 
All necessary measures are in place to insure you have an amazing holiday

Skiing: Roc d’enfer ski area, Montriond part of Avoriaz 1800 ski area
 
These 2 ski areas will open as soon as the government allows us to. The lift companies have already put all the health and security measures in place.
Wearing a mask is not necessary whilst skiing but it is mandatory when in a cable car or chair lift.

The covered magic carpet on the beginners slope is at the moment open every day from 10h to 17h. CLOSED FROM 8/03/2021.

The French ski schools (ESF) of St Jean d’Aulps and Montriond-Les Lindarets
 
We encourage you to do all your bookings on line so as to minimise contact once in the resort. All reservations cancelled due to COVID will be reimbursed (proof of payment necessary) Please verify this with the ESF school or your instructor when making the booking.
Wearing masks is mandatory at the beginning of the course for all persons over the age of 11. All equipment is disinfected after each use. Ski schools offer individual courses and group lessons and many are now offering much smaller group lessons. You can choose what suits you the best. These 2 ski schools are offering snow shoe outings, initiating you to ski touring and a little mountain rescue knowledge, all accompanied by ESF instructors.
The beginner areas are open so that young children can still have ski lessons.
 
Ski equipment rental
 
Like all other services it is better if you can reserve your ski equipment on line to get quick service and cheaper options
All health and safety protocol sanitising measures and one way aisles are in place for your security.
With the closing of ski lifts, snow shoes and ski touring gear are in high demand so please remember to reserve them in advance.

Our animation team have prepared some “tut’aulps” which are fun activities to follow in the safety of your own homes. Different themes like food, carnaval and St valentines. You can find these tutorials on our Facebook animation page here.

Snow shoeing, x-country skiing
 
Snow is everywhere, perfect for a snow shoe walk or why not learn how to use x-country skis. A fantastic way to experience fresh air in amongst snowy pine trees, nature at its best.

Bars, restaurants, shops, touristic sites
 
  • Bars and touristic sites are not allowed to open at the moment
  • A few restaurants offer TAKE AWAY. Information here
  • Shops are open with strict Covid sanitary protocols
 
Access and transport
 
Buses, shuttle buses, taxi, trains… all are following strict sanitary protocols.  The Montriond and St Jean d’Aulps shuttle buses will work from 6/02 to 7/03..

Our visitor access conditions as follows
  • 2 people max in the St Jean d’Aulps office and 1 person only in Montriond
  • Wearing a mask is mandatory and there is hand gel available on entering
  • Please respect distancing
  • There is no free browsing of documentation
  • Offices are cleaned regularly
